Thanks to the Travelodge getting tonight's booking messed up I've lost 75 minutes of light. It still isn't sorted out and the last conversation I had with them produced the words "tresspass" and "Police". I'll give a full update later on if we manage to get back in the room. That's where my laptop is. They seem like a reasonable bunch so we shouldn't have to sleep in the car. In the meantime, I've got about 25 minutes to reach the A30 before pitch darkness falls on Devon. I trained in complete darkness earlier this year. It doesn't make these country lands any less scary.
