Day 19 - A new challenge

It's day 19 and a new challenge has surfaced. The cold! It was bitterly cold overnight and despite wearing numerous layers I was still cold. It was a bad night's sleep and I'm tired this morning. It's only going to get worse as I climb higher over the coming weeks. It's 4500ft now. 11'300 ft is the summit! More layers needed tonight methinks!

Back to today and day 19 sees further climbing to over 5000 ft. I'll be unsupported for a time as the route takes me off off road for a while. Today's miles, through the picturesque hills of Utah, are dedicated to the memory of Gareth Johnson's Grandmother who passed away yesterday. She received the services of St Benedict's Hospice. My condolences go out to Gareth and his family at this sad time.
