Day 6 is progressing really well in yet more scorching weather. I've been on Route 66 for quite a few days now (thankfully no Weirdos on this bit). The surrounding desert scenery is amazing to take in and the road is so quiet. I'm seeing a car about every half a mile.
I'm no trainspotter, but I love the sight and sounds that the passing cargo trains have to offer. I'm currently trying to beat counting 180 carriages on those things. It helps to pass the day!
Thanks for all of the generous donations today. The charity fund is now over the £31,000 barrier. It's with this news that I'm just about to start the second session of the day. Route 66 here we come (again).
